During some tough times in my own life, I would turn Rush on and there he was... explaining the world and being optimistic
first time i listened to him was an audio tape he had recorded
sounded more like a motivational speaker than anything
was hooked ever since
It was his attitude that bucked me up. He reminded me to be tough, resilient and hopeful. I often thought about, “as iron sharpens iron... “ when Rush reminded me there would be another day, another fight and another victory to be savored.
He was a very great man. He had made his own world secure by his hard work and he was then free to help us without much personal concern for himself. As he started he may not have had such personal safety but he did have courage. I always thought the whole affair of it was a blessing to all.
