I like Chris Plante and still listen to him here in Indiana via WLS 890AM radio. Chris has a different style, that is for sure. Chris’s sharpness and repeatative style, sometimes has me shouting “Shut up Chris,” similar to my saying the same to Hannity when he repeatedly talks over the folks he has as guests.
Of possible permanent replacements, Mark Styne is my top choice. He can be witty and yet give a sting when needed. And has a graciousness that I rarely hear from Chris.
Delving into the past, the late Tony Snow and Walter Williams were excellent guests hosts and complimented Rush’s style.
I forgot to mention that, as a former DC metro area resident, I’ve listened to Chris from soon after he began on WMAL radio.
That was a reply to someone who thought my prayer was beautiful.
God is good because I was hesitant to post, not sure of what to say because so much had already been said that fit what I was feeling at the news of Rush’s death. I was moved by the Holy Spirit to say that prayer and decided to share it.
God is good because someone found comfort in those words He moved me to write.
I could not even read about Rush’s death until today.
He is a great man and American.
He did so much for us all.
Thank you Rush.
May you be blessed through the Lord in eternity.
I loved Tony Snow! I first knew of him by reading his columns in the Detroit News. Tony did a great job filling in for Rush.
I thought of him yesterday---he was the first person I had never met who I remember shedding tears for upon the news of his death. Rush was the second.
It is a good show, too. Hearing Rush just as if he is speaking right this minute is more comforting than I thought it would be. Remembering good times. I wait for commercials so I can concentrate on the tributes here on FR.

Todd is doing his damnedest to not cry. You can hear him choking up, which is making ME cry (again). My eyes were so swollen yesterday, it’s still lingering today!

I honestly thought at first she was just going to give an update on Rush. My heart sank quickly though when I heard her tone.
I don’t know if it was Rush’s wish, his wife’s wish, or a combination of them and his family, but it meant a lot that they made the announcement of his death to his audience first.
He wasn’t just blowing smoke. His audience was revered by him.
Rush put up a wall against such evil for as long as he was able. RIP, Rush.

I’m a 63-year-old man I’ve lived in several war zones I’ve been shot I’ve almost died from multiple heart crap I’ve buried my parents and my dogs and best friends and I’ve had beautiful women rip my heart out and I will admit I cried a little bit at 1 AM in bed listening to that it was very sad even though I do not agree with everything Rush said especially about southern history But I felt like I knew him and he was sympathetic to us and now I listen pretty much Only Steve Bannon and Mark Stein there is a guy from Little Rock a Leica can’t remember his name but he is minor leagues Rush is like Ronaldus or Trump

Saw the news yesterday. Want to wish my condolences to the family, thank him for his service and ask God to bless him.

I know we were all nervously awaiting this day.
I had a feeling Mr. Limbaugh’s time was near, and I typed up something to cheer him up last week hoping he would still be able to come back on the air.
I wanted to give him a humorous, but very real, compliment that he may not have heard before, so I will give it here because I believe our dearly departed still are with us and caring about us.
If I were his next caller, this is what I would have loved to say:
Mr. Limbaugh I don’t know if anyone has told you this before, but you have the best radio “Pregnant Pause” of anyone since Jack Benny. It’s true, you absolutely do, and it totally cracks me up.
I’d like to have a bit of fun with you where you will be forced to demonstrate your famous “Pregnant Pause” for your audience. Despite my question, I want you to know that you have always been 110% right in my book.
Now the “Pregnant Pause” question:
The Fact Checkers were always declaring Biden to be “Largely Factual” in his inane utterances. But you get your superior Sullivan ratings by being “Mostly Right”.
What is the difference, Mr. Limbaugh, between “Largely Factual” and “Mostly Right”?
I would have loved to hear him have fun with his answer - after his Uhhhhhh “Pregnant Pause” of course.
Losing Rush truly is like losing someone from your family. I have walked with Rush, and he has talked to me for 30 years. I know that is how it felt to everyone here listening to him. That is why he was so beloved and revered and will never be forgotten. I feel fortunate to have lived alongside him. I can only imagine past generations felt the same way at Mark Twain’s and Will Rogers’ passing.
