I started listening to Rush in 1989. I was hooked immediately.
My husband and I went to see him at Danβs Bake Sale. Amazing!
He had a unique voice, wit and depth that cannot be replicated or replaced.
May he RIP...he will be missed forever. Bless you dear Rush.
I am sickened. I’ve been crying. I’ve lost my mentor, my friend, my teddy bear. To those who will be dancing on his grave, may you rot in hell.
I just lost the best friend I never met.
Rest In Peace, Rush.

I remember seeing Rush on the old Phil Donohue show many years ago when I was home recovering from my first back surgery. As he spoke all I could think was "wow, he's someone who speaks for me and what I believe in a way that I simply cannot" (with such common sense and truth!) I was a listener from his first day on WLS AM 890 here in Chicago and have listened since.
There is a void in my day today and I suspect it's going to last a long time. There's no one to "replace" Rush. The footprints that man left behind him cannot be filled by anyone else.
We Conservatives have lost a giant of a man today. God bless Catherine and all Rush's family, please Heavenly Father keep them in your loving arms and give them comfort.
RIP Rush.
I meant 30 years.
My how time has passed by.
I was only 34, I’m 64 and retired now.
What about a motorcade from FL to Cape Girardeau ?
Ditto..can’t stop the tears.
Rest In Peace, Rush.
Devastating news π’ Heartbreaking for every American patriot in the USA & beyond. His shoes can never & will never be filled. Rest in peace, Rush, exemplary American patriot...I wish I could have met you & personally thanked you for your incredible knowledge, education & patriotism. πΊπΈππΊπΈ A very sad day in America, from coast to coast. π’
From Snapple to a Hot Springs Spa I think I purchased every product or service endorsed by Rush. After all, Rush was my lifelong friend and he never lied to me; never, ever. From now on at noon EST there will be a hole in my day and my heart.
RIP Rush. One of the true giants and in all of the good ways. I discovered him in 1994 and got hooked. He will truly be missed.
RIP
Well done, good and faithful servant
We miss him.....
...but he was ready to be with God.......
.....he knew where he was going!
God bless him!
Tears keep flowing. My dad, who died of small cell lung carcinoma also, listened to Rush everyday in the office. Since I was his secretary, I had no say in the matter. But it wasn’t long before I went still to really listen and appreciated all of Rush’s words of wisdom. We loved discussing the show. As one of 7 kids, this was the time my dad and I bonded even more. I know that Dad is greeting Rush and they will enjoy some one on one- maybe even having a damn cigar. But that is in Heaven. Here on earth there is a huge void of darkness and sadness now. Praying for his family and for our country. The loss is huge.
I happened to come across an unusual radio broadcast on a Saturday night about 20 years ago. The normal local program was pre-empted by a live broadcast of the annual awards ceremony for the National Association of Broadcasters. Rush Limbaugh wasn't receiving an award that year but he was one of the special guests at the event.
I was really surprised at the speeches that were given by the individual award recipients that evening. Every one of them -- including some that I remember as notable crazy leftists -- publicly thanked Rush for basically saving AM radio by bringing syndicated talk radio to prominence across the nation to replace the music format that had mostly migrated to the FM dial by the late 1970s.
This man was truly one of those "bigger than life" figures whose impact was felt far beyond even his own enormous audience.
I have a big lump in my throat right now. So sad.
Love you Rush. May you rest in peace.
I refuse to pay attention to any of them. Period.
May he be welcomed into glory.
Donβt expose yourself to them
So deeply saddened. RIP patriot! You served incredibly in this life. Good bye Rush! Love and condolences to his family.
