It’s easy to disparage people for what their kids do. Protected by anonymity people can let their evil inner selves run free. Nobody is going to punch them in the nose if they don’t know who said it.

You don't have two sons arrested on the same day for drug possession and acts of violence and then to have one O.D. and the other nearly murder someone, that's some questionable parenting.
Personally, my two are incredibly responsible and kind, but that's mainly because my wife did such a great job.

Just curious...it seems that the second car (arriving to help) would have pulled in BEHIND the disabled car so how could the car driven by Reid have struck the left FRONT of the disabled vehicle before slamming into the REAR of the second vehicle? Driving the wrong way on the ON RAMP?
Maybe the driver of the 2nd car pulled in FRONT of the disabled car??
I have helped people that ran out of gas before. And yes, you try to leave as many lights on as possible. At the end of the day, a drunk driver can hit you anywhere. I've even seen people hit by drunks in their house.

I would submit that he has been overwhelmed in the “Parenting” department for a long time.
I thought she was in the car bringing gas to the car that ran out of gas. Ideally, you park in front of the car out of gas as it provides a buffer.

I had a friend almost killed late at night when he pulled over to check something and a semi driver, who was probably tired, was just following his tail lights swerved to miss. My friend said he flattened himself up against the trailer and felt the truck speed by. My friend was also tired but after that he said was wide awake.

That was my understanding as well. Intentional decision to put the children at risk.
