Scarborough on BLM-Capitol Hill Riot Comparisons: Don’t ‘Confuse Taco Stands with the United States Capitol’

Tuesday, MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough addressed the comparisons of violent Black Lives Matter protests to last month’s riot at the U.S. Capitol by a group supporting former President Donald Trump.

Scarborough said anybody making the argument that the examples are similar “have to be really stupid.” He argued that “taco stands” are vastly different than the “insurrection” at the Capitol.

The BLM and Antifa riots burn, destroy, kill and injure.

The Capital “riot” did none of that. It was civil disobedience with a few nut cases getting out of control.

He sold out to get a sweet gig at MSNBC. Or at least this is a big part of it. $6 million a year isn’t chump change.

I guess his principles (if he had any) didn't count. He probably could have gotten a gig as a pundit somewhere, on FOX or anywhere as an independent. There have been many former government and political people who have earned more than the 6 million.

I would argue in a way he is correct. The BLM riots were worse. Destroying a multiple private citizen’s livelihood is much worse than a few windows of a corrupt government.

The government is supposed to be for, of, and by the people. Therefore the people are more important than the government.

Make your argument that a taco stand, a privately owned business supporting a family, is not just as important as the capital. And deserves less respect.

For starters, without Taco stands, the capital doesn’t exist. God I despise these people and their arrogance towards America.

Property destroyed is property destroyed. The threats and intimidation employed by blm/antifa dating back to last year caused far more damage and inflicted far more injuries than what happened in DC on Jan 6th.
