Raskin: Trump Second Impeachment a ‘Dramatic Success in Historical Terms’

Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” called former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial a “dramatic success in historical terms.”

Anchor Chuck Todd said, “So do you feel like this was a success? Or do you feel like because you failed to convict that you can’t look at it any other way than a failure?”

Raskin said, “I think it was a dramatic success in historical terms. It was the largest impeachment conviction vote in U.S. history. It was by far the most bipartisan majority that’s ever assembled in the Senate to convict a president, which has traditionally been a kind of partisan thing in American history. We got seven Republicans, and if you look at the ten Republicans in the House who joined us, it was by far the most bipartisan decision and a complete repudiation of the president’s conduct. Now, unfortunately, it didn’t reach the two-thirds majority in the Senate.”

Andrew Johnson survived his impeachment vote by one vote in the senate, the 35–19 vote in favor of conviction falling one vote short of the necessary two-thirds majority.

I was very surprised that Jamie Raskin remained on the impeachment prosecution panel, especially after his son’s Tommy’s suicide on New Year’s Eve, 2020. He looked exactly like his Dad.

I can only presume that I would still be in mourning, and emotionally unavailable this soon after such a tragedy.
However, there are some people who deal with tragedy by becoming deeply immersed in their work. So maybe that’s how it works for Jamie. Eric Bolling seemed to chose this route as well, after the death of his young son.

Perpetrating fraud is not success. It is a stain on the history of America. May this person succeed in his goal of self elimination via the vomiting of lies.

Back to their real skillsets— Defining their Deviancy... Down.

This being a phrase from dem Senator Moynihan— who knew what was coming in the psychotic demonrat machine that has no control on their impulses or the source of money from the lack of control of criminal impulses- namely the mob, mafia, MS13, illegal aliens, and of course.. labor unions.

It was “dramatic” in the sense that Show Trials are staged presentations for an audience. Theater of the Absurd.

If he works in Washington, D.C., that makes him a Washington Raskin, right? I thought they changed their name to Washington Football Club?

Or..... Washington FC. You are free to substitute any other words for the “F” and the “C”.

Bwahahahahaha.

As Left as Moynihan was, I cannot even imagine him being accepted as a Democrat now.

That is unsettling in and of itself.

So more Senators = larger... technically the truth.

The democrats knew they were unlikely to win the point when they started.

Their goal was to dirty the Republicans, and to gain strength for the mid-term elections.

Given how seriously corrupt the democrats have shown themselves to be, I am going to have to completely rethink the Nixon impeachment !
