Since the early days of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States, no two states have been more different in their approaches than California and Florida.
In early March, California Gov Gavin Newsom limited gatherings, closed bars and indoor dining at restaurants, implemented mask mandates and implored residents to stay at home.
Comparatively, Florida Gov Ron DeSantis has enacted few measures, lifting an ordinance that prevented people from operating businesses and restaurants as well as lifting COVID-19 related fines and penalties in September.

Of all the irrational delusions of the last execrable year, the most obtuse is the notion that a bunch of politicians and bureaucrats can control a pandemic. The best they can do apparently, is lie about it.
Florida seems to be doing fine!
Businesses there, too.
If two opposite strategies appear to give the same results, it is quite likely that neither of them are working. The disease was created by man but it followed a course dictated by nature.
Trying to stop the common cold is not possible.

At what point will people catch on that the masks are the most useless and stupid way to control a virus? We’ve been played for over a year now! Fauci told us the truth - MASKS DON’T WORK! They make you “feel good” but that is all... Rand Paul explained that every Senator and their staffers received the vaccinations... yet they ALL wore their masks. It is just a way to control people and put them in perpetual fear! When will people catch on to the fraud? They are even telling you now - get vaccinated AND KEEP YOUR MASK ON!! There is no exit plan for these masks - the only plan is to keep you in fear - FOREVER!
I don’t believe the numbers from CA.
This is precisely why the focus needs to change (as it should have done months ago!) from stopping "positive test" to preventing and/or treating symptoms and protecting sensitive groups ... not locking down, masking and "distancing" every healthy person in the country!
Remember, California just gave away $ 3 billion in unemployment benefits to criminals. The state is completely incompetent.

We’re in Florida for the winter and had our first COVID shots this morning. The whole process was flawless. From the moment we arrived early for our appointment to walking out the door took half an hour. Fifteen of those minutes was a wait time after the shot. There were no crowds and it was just very efficient.
Follow the data and science they told us.
The verdict is in......
Lockdowns and draconian mandates have not produced any measurable benefit.
There are outliers in both sets of data, but the overall numbers clearly prove the point.
We are now at an impasse..... the media driven hysterics, overbearing politicians and bureaucrats, and those driven by a pandemic of fear cannot admit the error of their ways.
The anti-treatment crowd who discounted remedies that showed success cannot admit the error of their ways because to do so would be to admit that their political actions costs many lives. Perhaps in 6 figures.
Operation Warp Speed succeeded. They cannot admit this either.
“Mr. I have a plan to defeat Covid if elected” has now admitted that he does not really have a plan beyond that of his predecessor and even bureaucrats at the state and local level appear equally lost due to the lack of leadership.
The left offers nothing. They are great as an opposition party and they follow the lead of their allies in the media as critics, but they are horrible at leading and assuming responsibility.
What measurable action have they taken to benefit us since they assumed power? Can anyone name anything? They are so entrenched in acting as opposition that they now target the very governors and states that have done a much better job!
Sigh.
Wonder how the Covid-19 curve compares to a normal flu season?
Restaurants and many other businesses have been very slow because of the cold wave.
The WHO altered the testing from a metric of 45 to 35 on
inauguration day.
This lowered the sensitivity of the testing, to what a lot
of people in the medical community had thought should
have been the proper level all along.
I can’t link to the article I read that in, as I read it
weeks ago.
New cases plummeted, but it had nothing to do with the new
guidelines according to the WHO.
They were so concerned it would look that way, they made a
press release to make that clear.
Meanwhile folks are left wondering why change the
recommendations if they don’t affect anything?
DUH!
