Ken Matthews is far and above my favorite fill-in guy.
Had a friend who was diagnosed with S4 lung cancer, metastasized to the brain. She was treated at OSU James Cancer center and lived eight more years, it was either a clinical trial or a new drug treatment, don’t know exactly. . She was about seventy at the time of her diagnosis. So there is always hope.
Rush is a fighter if anyone can beat cancer he will. Lets all hope and pray.
“I suspect he is in his final stage(s).”
My mom died of cancer. Couple of weeks back I noticed Rushs face looked like hers a few weeks before she died.
Going forward EIB is going to have to reduce the number of commercials to keep a large audience. It is getting ridiculous. In one hour you get maybe 35 minutes of total content.
I remember on his last broadcast day before Christmas, he mentioned in the final part of the program that, if he knew it was getting close to the time when he couldn’t do it anymore, HE wanted to tell his audience HIMSELF. He said he wanted a chance to say goodbye in his own way, if it was possible.
I hope he gets that chance. And I hope there is some small advance warning so that people will be tuned in to hear it. I don’t want him to pass, but the Lord has His time, and when He calls Rush home, it’ll be His perfect time.
So well said, Hoagy. I was thinking today that no matter how hard it would be, I would so love to hear him say good-bye when that time comes. I pray that it is not soon, but as you said, God's timing is perfect---and I trust Him.
Continuing to pray for this wonderful man--as well as for Kathryn, for all who love him, and for those caring for him.
“It’s a year since he was diagnosed.”
No, it’s not good. Rush himself admitted he wasn’t suppose to make it through the summer and then he got to the election.
Sadly, I think the hour is upon us. All we can do is say some prayers and remember the man who fought the good fight for American values for decades.
What a great talent Rush is.
OSU has a good cancer program, my brother in law (he’s married to my step sister) is an oncologist there and he works with lung cancer. He’s second from the top chair there, IIRC.
No Rush, no show for me, unless Snerdley at least starts off the show.

Never give up, Rush!
We will Never give up.
We Love you Rush.
God bless and protect you.
God rest her soul.
I’m devastated. Since it was noted last week that Rush hasn’t been on since Feb 2nd an overwhelming sorrow has overtaken me. I’m not a nut or a stalker or have romantic ideals about him, he’s just someone I have admired and appreciated 18 hours a week since 1992.
This time last year we were reeling over Neil Peart, and the true end of Rush the band, and got news of Rush’s diagnosis, then 2020, the stolen election, the fauxnuguration, and I don’t know if I’m sick, depressed or defeated. BUT Rush is in my prayers multiple times a day and my heart is breaking that another Great One is being removed from us. And Rush Limbaugh is the greatest of the Great Ones. God sure works in mysterious ways, but I remain in prayer for all of us, and our Nation.
Who’s filling in today? He’s on fire!!!
As like everyone else, I’m saddened to not hear Rush-—but he would want us to press on and fight the good fight!
Prayers with you Rush!
Agree 100%. I hate listening to Rush on the radio even when I am driving and he is on. It’s unlistenable and even infuriating at times. I just wait for the podcast to be ready so I can listen uninterrupted.
Love Rush so much, he must be bad off, I’m sure if he was strong enough he would come on his show for a few minutes to update and thank his treasured audience, how often have we heard Rush say that he loves his audience more than we can ever know. I’m sure he intended to come back to say something but I saw it too often one day you wake up and you just can’t get out of bed or maybe only strong enough to sit in your favorite chair, peace, love andvrest maha rushie.
My husband had his heart transplant at OSU ROSS Heart hospital. We are partial to OSU as well. We moved several years ago to south carolina and his transplant is now being managed at MUSC in Charleston. We like then but OSU will always be the best to us.
