Great article! I have written and spoken almost identical language about LD50 and approved chemicals on the OMRI list when people start on me about synthetic chemicals. Then I follow up with, do you make willow bark tea for your children when they have a fever or do you give them a Tylenol?

Agriculture is already regulated. I used to tell my farmers that the only management decision they had left was the color of paint on their equipment.
Do you know how the decision of chemicals application is made? It is the recommended amount on the package because if they don’t use that, the warrantee is no good and they are subject to lawsuit.
In the old days I had farmers make decisions for their particular land and situation. Now days everyone farms the same.
