Mothers Against Drunk Driving has expressed outrage over the fact that Bruce Springsteen’s drunk driving arrest in November wasn’t revealed until after the rock star’s Super Bowl commercial for Jeep aired on Sunday.
The advocacy group blasted New Jersey authorities in a statement on Wednesday, saying that victims of drunk driving “deserve better.”
“Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is outraged to learn that Bruce Springsteen was arrested three months ago for drunk and reckless driving,” said Alex Otte, MADD National President, in a statement to Breitbart News. “The fact that this arrest was not revealed by authorities in New Jersey until after Springsteen’s appearance driving a Jeep in a high-priced Super Bowl commercial is infuriating.”

Alcohol is a drug....one of the worst
Much worse than pot
Insofar as damage down to families and inoocent drivers
Exponentially
How do I know
Because it’s an abuse that affects my family
His fans sure as hell do.
The original Karens.
Well two can play at this game! I’m with DAMM. Drunks Against Mad Mother’s..,

Thank you, War Daddy. I was about to post something very similar. didn’t know “alcohol isn’t a drug” was still a thing. It’s far, far more harmful than cannabis and many others.
“MADD is one of many groups who just go around LOOKING for something to be ‘outraged’ about.”
Agree, they’re basically a bunch of parents who were so busy keeping up with the Jones’ that they forgot to raise their ‘trophy children’, and then when the ‘children’ go out in the middle of the night and get themselves killed, they blame others.
“How many fathers of teen age girls would allow this if they were on the various school boards?”
Probably most...at least if they want to get their girls to get grades good enough to graduate. That’s why this crap has gotten as far as it has.
“MADD’s public comments are going to look silly when the DUI charges are dropped. A report posted late yesterday indicated that Springsteen’s BAC was only 0.02%, which isn’t even close to the legal limit for intoxication in any U.S. state. “
Seriously, 0.02? One beer, maybe? I’m still glad they busted him, since he’s a liberal, but I don’t like the precedent it sets.
I’m pretty sure he was facing charges for reckless driving and trespassing anyway — even if he was totally sober. Apparently he was given the sobriety test simply because he had an open alcoholic beverage container while driving. This alone might make it a DUI case even if the BAC reading was very low.
Wow, you learn something every day on FR.
All charges will be dropped as Biden will direct them to be dropped.
The conflicting political influences of a leftist music industry and KADD (Karens Against Drunk Driving) will come into play.
So tired of seeing wealthy so-called celebrities being paid to advertise products. Everyday actual users of the product are so much more interesting.
The fact that Springsteen was arrested for drunk driving is hardly the most offensive part of the ad.
Agreed! I watched that video last night and had to laugh at the irony of it all. Springsteen with his “cowboy” get up, driving around a rural area like he’s some noble ranch hand or something. In an old CJ to boot, something that’s near and dear to my heart. The citizens of those areas LOATHE everything he stands for because he’s made it plain that he loathes them! He’s never spent a day of his life around a ranch or a farm, unless his mansion in the sky happens to look down on them. The red star at the end was a nice touch. What a steaming pile of excrement.
Oh jeez... MADD versus Bruce... which is worse???
FR's Reefer Madness brigade has raised alcohol/marijuana cognitive dissonance to an art form.
What does DAMM (Drunks Against Mad Mothers) have to say about this?
Just another under the spotlight example of their massive double standard.
