He left all the other ethnic companies quaking in their boots.
Trademarking and other legal concerns aside, it took Quaker 8 months to decide on the new name???

Our woke morons have removed black faces from grocery store aisles. They have have eliminated old beloved brands. I’m sure they’re very proud of themselves.
What a world they’ve made.

They had already changed Jemima’s image to that of a modern woman. Why did they need to change the name? Why not just drop the title “aunt” if that was offensive? Jemima’s Syrup.

Try Blackburns. Made in Texas, and you can get it in many stores including Walmart and Amazon. It's the BEST! My favorite syrup since a toddler.

As a person of partial “Quaker” ancestry, I’m insulted at the caricature of that 17th century “Quaker” and am reminded that the name was long considered derogatory at a time when other evil words describing certain groups of people were acceptable.
I am ashamed and bear the guilt that in the 17 century when members of the Society of Friends (”Quakers”) wore such clothing that they were sometimes owners of slaves and indentured servants.
It time for Quaker Oats to change their terrible name. They should now use packaging with this name solely and boldly imprinted on their products - “FOOD” which is so conforming and egalitarian.
