Indian rescue crews struggled to reach trapped victims Feb. 7 after part of a glacier in the Himalayas broke off and released a torrent of water and debris that slammed into two hydroelectric plants. At least nine people were killed and 140 were missing in a disaster experts said appeared to point to global warming.
Video from India’s northern state of Uttarakhand showed the muddy, concrete-gray floodwaters tumbling through a valley and surging into a dam, breaking it into pieces with little resistance before roaring on downstream. The flood turned the countryside into what looked like an ash-colored moonscape.
More than 2,000 members of the military, paramilitary groups and police took part in the search-and-rescue operation, including soldiers expert in mountaineering, working into the night under bright halogen lights, authorities said.

Ah, yes. Globull warming. Glaciers have never calved before.
It is caused by global warming. Which is called an inter-glacial period by real scientists.
It is definitely not caused by Greta Thunberg GlobalClimateWarmingChange promoted by politicians, celebrities and #FakeScientists who get paid to lie by the former.

Not compensating for natural calving of the up stream glacier which is the water source of the hydroelectric project.

Global warming has to be real, that’s why this week will be our coldest since 1985 from what the weathermen are saying.
I’m in the natural gas bidness so I am glad that people are finally burning some product. We got plenty more to sell.
Who melted the glaciers from last ice age? Chicago area was covered with many miles high glacier ice.
Was it the cave man burning too many twigs caused melting of those glaciers which then formed the largest body of fresh water on earth, now known as the Great Lakes?
Blame the cave man cuz there were no SUV’s running around then.
The snow melts each spring, I blame that on global warming. Praise Prophet Gore.
If the glacier hadn’t been melting for 100s of years already, would there have been a river to dam?
