Some clerks in western North Carolina will NOT sell you the products you are trying to purchase IF you are NOT wearing a mask. There was quite a stink in the media about it...

Rumor (from my Doc) is that Iowa reached herd immunity the old fashioned way. It burned through here like a prairie fire in November

In November, the COVID outbreak was VERY bad.

It was getting scary. My plant had 40% of the people out with active cases

However, deaths seemed to not follow as much, and by first week of December the cases were falling fast.

Of the 40%, did anyone get sick (like with the flu) or seriously ill (hospital stay)? How many “tested” positive but had no to very mild symptoms? I’m not trying to downplay what you experienced, I just want to evaluate the seriousness of the local outbreak. Thanks!

One operator was on oxygen (at home actually) for a few days.

Symptoms were from very mild (myself) to severe flu.

No one was hospitalized.

and that is because the govt caused the problem by isolating us, instead of letting nature take is course.

Iowa was much more open.

When it hit, and the wildfire started, it burned through FAST.

Also, at least locally, doc’s weren’t putting people on vents as quickly. A lot of “Go home and rest”.

Maybe it is a midwest thing, but while it was very bad at times it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
