Want to splain that for us?
A better way than removing statues of historical people.
My response was to ladyjane, who asked the question, “Why do so many immigrants come here and soon after run for office and try to change our country?”
Nikki Haley is not an immigrant. I did not address the question of whether or not she is a “natural-born citizen.”
Georgia fell rather fast and the rest of the South will follow. Sad to see.
These bills will die in committee, Every two year session of the GA House sees about 1700 bills and resolutions introduced. A small fraction live long enough to become law.
She took down the Confederate flag in Columbia SC after the SC church shooting. She started this avalanche. I would NEVER vote for her.
Both of those bills went straight to the House Rules Committee meaning they will likely sit on the last page of bills that committee sends to the full House. The House and Senate have pages of bills that have come out of committees and have to pass Rules before going to the full chamber for consideration. The bills that the leadership want approved go on the first pages and the bills destined to die go in the back and never be considered again. I would bet my mortgage these bills are far to the back.
Haley was born here, but just because someone is doesn’t make them an “American”. There are plenty of alienated people born on our soil who hate every traditional value we believe in.
In our current climate I would not bet. I have no doubt this gets played up in the media and has a shot of coming up for a vote.
Not sure about the “we” part. How come the dang democrap party remains unsoiled re slavery? The south was democrap, solidified the KKK and the home of ol George Wallace, S Thurmond and on and on. Why not take that institution down rather than the ones that I never found honored slavery, but rather the courage and military prowess of individuals?
Even N B Forrest was a better man than any modern egg sucking democrap and 90% of repukikans.
At least your well meaning post has inspired me to purchase a second stars and bars.

No child of foreigners is a natural born citizen.
They all inherit the nationality and citizenship of their foreign parent(s).
I will NEVER forget what she started.
It was her feckless foot in the door that led to this insanity.
And I well remember all those here who said it was “no big deal because Confederates bad”, despite many of us saying it was just the start of worse things to come.
Now the worse things are here.
We TOLD you so.
People have no understanding of history. The confederate monuments and place names were permitted in the spirit of reconciliation and reunification. “With malice toward none”-Lincoln.
