WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to retain Rep. Liz Cheney as their No. 3 leader, rebuffing a rebellion by hard-right conservatives angry after she voted last month to impeach then-President Donald Trump.
The secret 145-61 vote came the same day that Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ridiculed Democrats for slating a House vote Thursday on removing Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia from her committees. McCarthy’s comment was a signal that he was dismissing bipartisan demands that Greene be punished for her promotion online and embrace of racist and violent views and bizarre conspiracy theories.

You can draw a large circle representing Republicans. A much smaller circle inside that would represent conservatives. The fact that there is some overlap should not lead anyone to think they are the same.

And this secret vote protected the people who voted right from losing donations from the Cheney donors, so it’s not all bad.
I cannot wait to start hearing these clowns start their campaign with, “Republicans will come together to stop Biden.” Or,”Give us the majority so we can stop the Democrats and Joe Biden’s extreme agenda “
Personally, I’m going to just laugh in their faces. Not only will I not give them a dime, I won’t even bother to go to the polls for them. 145 to 61. That’s all anyone needs to know. Better to keep the Democrats than to be complicit with these back stabbing cowards.
My being DONE with the GOP has nothing to do with Trump, they PUSHED him out of office and let a fraudulent election stand!, They no longer deserve my vote, my donations, my knocking on doors and making calls, working in the headquarters!! If Trump wants to support them after all they have done to him that is fine, BUT I will NEVER support them again! After 45+ years of backstabbing by them I AM DONE!!

The Republicans are supporting it behind the scenes and only enough to oust her from Committees will support it.
IOW, they want to fundraise off it and claim they’ve been wronged - for Public Consumption.
