I had no idea a company couldn’t give preference to US citizens.
Musk has had intellectual property stolen; I’d be leery about hiring non-citizens (especially the Chinese) for some jobs.

It used to be that working for a Department of Defense contractor required US citizenship. No exceptions. It didn't get you the job, it merely allowed you to apply. Further down the road there are security clearances, above and beyond whatever the job requirements are.
Did this somehow change? I would consider any space related project to fall under the purview of the DOD. So we are now going to let Abdul the Goat Humper entryway into our advanced technology? Huh?
