The party is like any other business. It is self serving for the people at the top. What the party expresses as goals is marketing BS. ZERO sincerity.
Collins' opponent is a moonbat, Warren-like. We also have some down to earth folks, but they are flash in the pan. paul lePage, for example. This is an old-money regime. Plenty of poor and low-educated people too, so the communist-lite agenda is appealing. Something for nothing.
Sadly, we have far too many areas in this nation where the
people are long term clueless.
They go for the right now, but can’t see how those things are

I’m pretty sure from past correspondence that DoughtyOne voted for President Trump in both the past Presidential elections, as did I.
You need to take a really hard look at the PARTY you keep telling people like me (who have been screwed by them for the last 50 years) have my best interests at heart.
I have voted a straight Republican ticket for 48 years, the only reason the top of their ticket got my vote this time is because it was TRUMP, not some repuglican (no, that’s not misspelled) like JIBBERING JEB.
Do you hope they will run JIBBERING JEB or perhaps the MIGHTY MYTH ROMNEY again the next time around.

of them reveals how corrupted the Republican Party is, and
how dead set against Trump and we who think like him, at
ever getting this nation back on track.

I hope President Trump didn’t share any specifics with McCarthy. McCarthy will share with GOP house leadership, and Liz will passit to Pelosi via Shiff or Swalwell.

That's probably the best way to go. Trump gets to be the Kingmaker. DeSantis/Noem MAGA ticket runs on the same principle but without the baggage of Trump.
Look. I love Trump as much as any body here. While he is able to mobilize his base to get out to vote, at the same time, Democrats will do everything they can to beat him, which is what we saw in 2020.

President Trump tried to right something that’s been wrong since 1962, he is good, but nobody is that good.
Without the help of “THE PARTY” he went in with a huge handicap, and “THE PARTY” spit on him and sabotaged anything he tried to do to improve the lives of average Americans.
I understand what you are saying about a Monarchy. It could
be led by someone well intentioned. Then alone comes a
successor, and that person isn’t.
Our Founders did a pretty good job giving us what they
thought was the best system of government. They gave us
excellent Founding Document as well.
The problem is, we live in a time when the education system
has taught a large segment of our kids that there is no
moral rules. There is no golden rule. There is only, “Do
what feels good, and don’t ever second guess yourself.”
So we have a bunch of fools unable to grasp the intent of
our Constitution for what it is.
Our nation has helped more people around the planet than
any nation in human civilization.
We fought wars and won them for others. We didn’t take
land and dominate. We tried to be even handed and do the
best we could.
We have helped with poverty around the world. A lot of
what the UNESCO hands out around the world, is food and
supplies our nation donated.
We have helped in Asia, in Europe, and Africa, and even Russia.
Our nations stood up to the USSR, and so successfully
manipulated it without war, that over a billion people
gained freedom from it’s iron fist.
Europe would likely be speaking German or Russian today
if not for us.
Most of Asia would be speaking Japanese. Even a large
swath of China would. (I believe that’s true. If not
someone can correct me.)
No one can name one other nation who has a record like
ours.
I could go on for quite a while praising our nation.
The Communists and Fascists, want to eliminate its ability
to protect humanity.
The Republican party doesn’t even know this is true, or
that it needs to continue.
They patronize the Left. They call us Domestic Terrorists
or the favorite Leftist slander of the day.
This can’t go on.
In some ways, but look back over the last two months and ask
yourself if the party was unified with him during his time
of trouble?
You know it wasn’t.
These things reveal the party for what it is, and it is not
an entity that is going to let Trump take over.
He couldn’t do it as president, because it still needs
doing. Now, with less power within the party, some folks
are still telling themselves it can be done.
These same people hated Reagan. Before him they hated
Nixon. They hated Goldwater.
