It pulverised cities in Vietnam in the 1960s, obliterated Iraq’s defences before Operation Desert Storm three decades later and scared the wits out of generations of Soviet leaders.

Korea - stalemate
Vietnam - compromise
Granada and Panama were just simple policing actions
Iraq - still there and never left like Bammy wants you to believe. 18+ years and running
Afghanastan - still there and it has been 20 years
So you can have new equipment, old equipment even the best equipment but you never win wars until you devastate the general populace to the point they turn against their government. You know like what is happening in this country. The enemy comes from within. That is how to win.

Don’t ignore the KC-135 platform, the 707 from the 50’s. Or the C-130 still coming out the door two per month after more than 65 years.
B-52 bomb runs. The first one shows an island but it was originally a continent but has been blown to bits by B-52’s over the years....

Good read! Read it one night when on hospital duty. The prisoner was on life support so I had to keep myself entertained as not to fall asleep.
