State Legislatures And Election Processes Are Crucial For The GOP This Year
The Hayride ^ | 21 January 21 | MacAoidh

You’ll see lots of items this week and for the next several weeks talking about how the Republican Party is in the wilderness and where does it go from here, etc. The fact is, most of this is overblown and a large chunk of it is, essentially, concern-trolling from the Bush Republican crowd who are trying to angle for a return to some sort of leadership within the GOP.

The prospect of that is pretty minimal, frankly. Donald Trump leaves office, per Rasmussen, with a 51 percent approval rating. If Trump takes a six month vacation from making public statements while Joe Biden proceeds to run the country straight into the ground, which is absolutely inevitable given the swath through the U.S. economy the doddering 46th President cut yesterday with his first round of executive orders, that 51 percent could well become 61 percent.

Two-fifths of Americans believe, essentially, that Biden stole the election. That number is likely to increase, rather than decrease. Right now, everybody is trying to behave themselves and wish the new president success, and so on. By the end of next month that’ll be gone.

“...I can’t wrap my head around how stupid you have to be to go down that road.

Useful idiot doesn’t begin to describe it.”

Careful... recognizing USEFUL IDIOCY when I see it and calling it for what it is may get me banned. At least it’s getting some of my “offending” posts deleted. I’m assuming that some of the useful idiots took time out of their “Let’s not vote” jihad to complain about my posts.

Midterm primaries are in 16 months. If folks aren’t already on the ground getting things done, they’re behind.

For state/local politics my number one hot button issue is election reform. I plan to contact all my state representatives demanding top to bottom election reform.. I hope enough people feel the same way.

Yep, because the useful idiots also have to engage in the same censorship that the left is engaging in. Lies and liars can’t deal with the truth.

“You rare equating State oversight with State control.

Election are RUN (as in operated and COUNTED) at the LOCAL level.”

Election Administration at the State Level

Each state has a chief election official who has ultimate authority over elections in the state.

Regardless of who the chief election official is, there are some duties that fall to the state office of elections. These include: ensuring that election laws are followed by local officials statewide; administration of a statewide voter registration database required by HAVA; assisting local election officials by providing training courses or materials on running elections in the state; and providing a process for testing and certifying voting equipment for use in the state.

__________________________________________

“The fact that States have various state officials or boards that oversee the elections, doesn’t mean that those officials actually count anything.”

Nope that’s correct, they don’t personally count. They do control the counting process. They establish and implement via the state legislatures the election process. They purchase and implement the ballot imaging and tabulation machines. They “certify” those results. They administer the election.

_______________________________

“Your wall of text doesn’t contradict that basic fact, notwithstanding your arrogance.”

No arrogance, just the facts. And the facts contradict your statement that “ elections are run locally, not at the State level”

Here is the message I sent to my Florida State Rep and Senator”

“””As the Florida Legislature will soon be in session, I am asking that you sponsor or support a bill that will totally rescind NO-EXCUSE-MAIL-IN VOTING in the State of Florida.”””

A wonderful message. I hope you don’t mind me adapting it for use in Virginia.

Leftists and political crooks, with the help of the media, have been successful at branding changes like mail-in voting with the euphemism "ease of voting." What is the opposite of euphemism? When GOP governors or other officials actually do their jobs, for example by limiting "drop boxes," leftists use the dysphemism "voter suppression."

I expect the popularity of that euphemism and that dysphemism to continue.

Don’t be silly.
The GOP was in on it.
Georgia has a GOP governor, legislator, and Secretary of State but pushed fraudulent votes through rather than fight or even investigate.

The evidence says otherwise. See Antrim county in Michigan. Heavily Republican, yet the vote was initially flipped for Biden, by machine. Next, note that these machines are in at least 27 states (Dominion alone) and more, when you look at the other voting machine companies. Plus, the various voting machine companies are just one company per their officers, employees, hardware, and software.

Plus the fact that all those machines had wireless internet, plus active USB ports, plus the audit trails were deactivated. No audit trail, not possible to audit.

County precinct filing deadlines have already passed in some states (those with odd-year elections). The committee members who will endorse for 2022 are already sitting. If, in Ohio, we want to affect 2024 endorsements, we must elect people who share our beliefs in the 2022 primary.

For Franklin County Ohio:
The Franklin County Republican Party’s Central Committee is comprised of 152 Republicans representing Wards throughout the County. Committee members are elected every 2 years during the primary election. The Central Committee endorses candidates for public office and elects the Party’s officers.

Filing Deadline: By 4 p.m. on December 18, 2019 (90 days before the primary election (2020 election. 2022 information not yet published)

The controlling committees of each major political party must be: † A state central committee consisting of two members, one a man and one a woman, representing either each congressional district in the state or each
senatorial district in the state, as the outgoing committee determines;
† A county central committee consisting of one member from each election precinct in the county, or of one member from each ward in each city and from each township in the county, as the outgoing committee determines; and† Such district, city, township, or other committees as the rules of the party provide.
Currently, state central committees of both major political parties are elected by state senatorial district.

Republican Party of Ohio endorsed John Kasich for the Republican primary in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Mistakes during initial canvassing happen. That’s why there are recanvassing procedures. The Wisconsin Supreme Court race a few years ago is a good example. One county left out thousands of votes and it flipped the face to the GOP the next morning when the mistake was located.

Antrim County is a great example of the system working despite the machines. Local election officials discovered the mistake and fixed it. If it was all rigged and not traceable then the mistake would never have been fixed at all.

Virginia has their state elections in the odd years. We’ll see if the people of Virginia want their state back.
