Replacement!!! HA!

Double HA! even.

Clearly, it will be on top of the Federal gas tax, the Federal Excise tax on tires, and road tolls.

There is no way a mileage tax will be a replacement for gas taxes.

It will be IN ADDITION TO, the gas taxes we already pay.

And look for a gas tax increase no matter what. Pete B.
lamented that the federal gas tax hasn’t gone up since 1993,and is not indexed to inflation. The implication being that he is eager for a big tax increase.

So how will.they know how many miles we drive in order to bill us and collect?

1. We need to report to DMV annually and have them check our odometer.

2. Turn every road into a toll road, with transponders and cameras recording our movements, and charging a credit card or bank account, similar to what is done on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and other toll roads.

When you are not allowed to purchase gasoline, they can still tax your little electric car at a high rate.

CORRECT.

Not a replacement, but in addition to any gas tax.

Of course, everybody is going to be driving fuel-cell or rechargeable battery-powered vehicles in a few years, so gasoline will phased out.

This scheme might work in Oregon or California, but I do not see it as viable in Montana or Tennessee for many years yet. Those places, they keep their vehicles running for YEARS beyond normal replacement cycles.

Every post to this thread should be HA!

Why couldn’t Biden have left that fool buried in the slime wherever he was? Because he likes slimy characters, I guess.

I guess we could make an effort to laugh at all their nonsense... We could!!!!!

Let’s wait for Susan Rice to go in front of the cameras on Sunday mornings and lie to us about everything!

Is he through yet digging up the old retreads? I sure hope so. I don’t know how much more we can stand!
