One more way to track and monitor you. They will do it under a variety of pretexts which appear harmless. It will be done incrementally. Then in the final stage, they will drop a truck load of measures all at once to complete their mission.

Perhaps he should test it first. Maybe a trial run on the Hershey Highway.

Electric vehicles also cause wear and tear on the roads but they pay no gas tax.

It’s like taking some children who have been running a lemonade stand and letting them run the USA. Insanity. Or, more likely, more Cloward-Piven. This is destruction by design.

Put tolls on the federal highways if you must, but don't tax me for driving on my local roadway that takes me to the local grocery store. I already paid taxes for that road to my sovereign state.

I could foresee a public transportation system that accommodates individual movement for a fee. No ground contact. No wheels. Request a vehicle, hop in. Punch coordinates. Pay a fee. But it must be economically feasible. Government involvement with transportation is a legitimate aim, but it must respect individula pursuits without political bias. Ha! Good luck with that.

We pay tax to buy the car, to fuel the car, to insure the car, to maintain the car, for the parts put into the car, and now this ***-pushing statist wants to charge us for the distance travelled on roads we pay for already?
How’s about NO!

This aids people with gas guzzler cars and hurts people from rural areas which it likely is designed to do.
