President Trump banned travel from these countries because each one did not have any infrastructure that would screen those who were violent, criminals or jihadis . all of whom would hurt Americans if they came here.
Countries all around the world refuse entry to those with criminal records, including the United States.
The bans were not inconsistent with American values or American law.
Now we will have travel from nations who have no way of reporting on a travelers record of activity in terms of crime or violence. The result will be IEDs manufactured here in the USA, and episodes like the Tsarnaev brothers at the Boston marathon.
