House conservatives have garnered more than 115 signatures for their petition aimed at ousting House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from her leadership position in the wake of voting in favor of impeaching President Trump for inciting a riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, a senior GOP aide told The Hill on Tuesday.
Liz Cheney wearing a suit and tie talking on a cell phone: More than half of House GOP conference sign petition to oust Liz Cheney© Greg Nash More than half of House GOP conference sign petition to oust Liz Cheney The petition - led by House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) - has more than enough signatures to force a special conference meeting where proponents of the effort are looking for a debate and a vote be held on a resolution calling on Cheney to resign from her role at the leadership table. The signatures make up more than half of the entire House GOP conference.
Critics of Cheney's vote on impeachment argue that the timing of her announcement, which came a day before Wednesday's vote on impeachment, provided Democrats talking points to go after Republicans.
"Rep. Cheney did not consult with the rest of our conference before supporting impeachment," Rosendale tweeted last week.

It will be a good precedent for dealing with other RINOcrats who need to be ousted as well.
Dick was a calculated politician. His daughter is not. This is a perfect example of why men tend to be better politicians. An able female politician is an exception, not the rule. Golda Meir. Margaret Thachter. But they’re rare.
It’s a sort of nepotism. She could raise money through her Father’s contacts and influence.
Congressional Leadership posts, in both Parties, go to people who can raise the most money for the Party and for other Members.
So, you’re not disputing what I said. Good choice.
The other half needs to be primaried, or as I prefer, ousted from office by the MAGA party.
>> “’...and if we continue to give the American people a vision of Republican internal fratricide, that doesn’t do us any favors and convincing them that we’re better out to lead the House of Representatives come midterm presidency of Joe Biden,’ Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) told reporters on Tuesday.” <<
What does he think her vote for impeachment was? That was fratricide. What we’re seeing now is a well-justified response to it.
Yes yes. Cheney is disgraceful. And ineffective against the DNC election theft operation. It’s time for someone new
Cheney still has her leadership position. It remains to be seen if this a real threat or just another CYA stern letter from useless beltway conservatives.
Primarying her will be tough. The GOPe will run designated losers to split the conservative opposition vote against her. It’s an open primary and Dems will flock to her. Never forget that the GOPe fights conservatives far harder than they fight Democrats. And they fight dirty.

The #3 post in the GOP House has been reserved for a woman lately. That’s how Liz got the job. There were hardly any GOP women in Congress when she got it.
Cheney was appropriately tough at work, but I'm wondering if he was hen pecked in his household.

If the number three slot has been reserved for minorities, then Burgess Owens might be a good choice to replace Liz Cheney.
That’s what I think too. It’s all part of the Bush cabal.
Yes... Liz, quit, please... A potted plant could Represent Wyoming better... 😀
Yeah, it has been the ‘Woman’s seat” for a while.
I thought she was the carpet muncher?
She is..her “wife” is about twice her height so she can almost do it standing up in her K Mart suit.
It’s all part of the Bush cabal.
Agree. Hilariously, Trump has a higher approval rating than Bush when leaving the White House. That must really sting the Bush clan.
I’m not leaving either, ConservaTeen is going to run for school board next election. He wants to promote Pro American Education... ( It is non Partisan, but most of them are Dems).
Wyoming FReepers, any Conservative Republicans in the state? If they challenge Liz, I’ll send them a donation.
