Do Mitch and the other Republican leaders have no sense of how their antics appear to the vast majority of Trump voters, or do they just not care?
I would have thought that no more than 4 or 5 RINOs in the Senate would vote to convict but maybe Mitch thinks it can get it up to 17. Just to ensure that Trump cannot run in 2024. But there may be so little left of the Republican Party by then that the nomination will be worth no more than the nomination of the Green Party.
