The Socialists would be publicly outraged and use as an excuse to curtail liberties. Privately, they would be ecstatic. Their “true” candidate would be anointed.
Let them enjoy their circle jerk. They have no effect on MAGA supporters. They certainly have no effect on me.
But think about the three bullet points I put above. These events are actually happening right before our eyes. And realize that Trump is putting these troops in DC. For what purpose exactly? We will know within the next 96 hours.
Correct. Because as of January 20, 2021 at 12:00 Pm, the term of a President ends.
And there's no way for a President to order that the 20th Amendment be skipped, ignored, etc which some have suggested. It's going to go into effect. And it can't be stopped.
Nor can a President "adjourn" Congress as some have suggested. There's simply no mechanism to do that in the way people are suggesting - see Article I, Section 5 of the U.S. Constitution.
Doing things such as a President ordering the arrest of Biden, Pelosi, etc. are likewise not going to happen. It's not a lawful order and military personnel would not be required to follow such an order. Nor is the military able to run or operate the national Federal Legislative and Executive branches of government.
But these are things that some people want. My belief is such actions by a President would result in the end of the United States being a constitutional republic and start an era of civil lawlessness that will trample many innocent people in the process.
So we shall see. As I said in another thread, tyranny terrifies me - as it should every U.S. Citizen. And the way that some people are asking, begging, encouraging the President to act will ensure that we all experience it.
I think you are the one that will be shocked when nothing happens. Sorry but nothing is going to happen.
You cannot trust ANYTHING in the media. They are always lying and being biased as they are an arm of the democrat party.

Trump is putting the troops there because they were requested by DC. They were requested just to cover up the fact that nobody gives a darn about Biden’s fake, illegitimate inauguration and to make it look like the Dems had to defend themselves from hordes of bloodthirsty Trump supporters and deepen the narrative of an insane force of maniacs led by Trump.
Trump has been quiet because he’s been tidying up loose ends, thanking people, etc.
And he shouldn’t go to the inauguration or be anywhere near DC because as soon as Biden is officially president, I am sure there are plans to arrest Trump and all his family on some sort of bizarre charges. They don’t just want him out of the presidency, they want him in jail (or dead) and us along with him.
So hopefully he’s using this time to develop a plan to get out of the new Union of Socialist States of America in one piece.

Reading the Constitution makes you a communist and means you are going to be going to Joe Biden’s inauguration - that’s what I was told on another thread.
Times are unusual that’s for sure. There are more than a few heretofore liberty loving Americans that are advocating for martial law. Very sad and very telling.
I hear they even have a green zone in DC.
