Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) flipped the script on Democrats on the House floor today.
After a summer of Democrat-sanctioned rioting and $2 billion in damages, Democrats and their fake news media are trying desperately to push to the American public that Republicans and Trump supporters are the violent ones.
This is as outrageous as it is dishonest.
On Wednesday Rep. Gohmert read off Pelosi’s previous statement on the House floor. It did not occur to Democrats that Louie was quoting Speaker Pelosi. They lost it!
Louie Gohmert: I just don’t know why there aren’t more uprisings all over the country and maybe there will be. The left was totally unprepared for the remarks.

· Jan 13 Louie Gohmert just flipped the script read Nancy Pelosi's own words calling for an uprising over the summer.
The best part? Democrats are already taking it out of context not realizing they're dunking on Pelosi.

Jan 13 Gohmert sending the media into a feeding frenzy by quoting Pelosi verbatim is just epic.
Likewise AOC has a fitting quote justifying “mostly peaceful” protests by the disenfranchised & unheard.
Nah...CHEAT...most leftists wouldnt understand that big word “usurper”
Many FReepers have no signature.
Nanzi’s own words need to be memorialized here.
The new administration: Joe and the Ho...
Exactly. I would have used my time by showing a clip of Maxine inciting violence.
The sad part is....they wouldn’t care even if they knew. Hipocracy is their middle name. They would just excuse it all as.....that’s different. They actually believe that the burning of cities and marches from the summer were justified....while the March on the Capitol was not. We need to just realize that we will never change their minds. Water off a ducks back.
To start out every Republican speech from the floor, the address should begin “MADAM SPEAKER.......”
****
And make sure to pronounce it, “muh-DAM(N) Speaker.”
I love it when him or his other Southern couterpart Kennedy state the obvious and show the dems hypocrisy.
Love him!
Once again proving that Gateway Pundit is a dishonest, at best, news source. I listened . . . where was the freakout? GP is nothing but clickbait for dummies.
It’s all Alinsky. Until the same book is written by a conservative, we are done as a nation. The big difference? Conservatives say What would Jesus do and the liberals say what would Marx do?
Lousy GP article. Doesn’t have words from Gohmert. Worthless.
Journalists falsely accuse Louie Gohmert of calling for more ‘uprisings’ after he quotes Pelosi

Several members of the media wrongly went after Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Wednesday and suggested that he was calling for more “uprisings” following last week’s Capitol Hill riot.
As the House debated whether to impeach President Trump for a second time, Gohmert took the floor and presented what he hinted was a Democratic double standard.
“Here’s a quote: ‘I just don’t even know why there aren’t more- why there aren’t uprisings all over the country and maybe there will be,’” Gohmert began.
The first quote Gohmert alluded to from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was uttered in June 2018 amid the national uproar over the Trump administration’s child separation policy among migrant families that was being enforced at the southern border.
However, many journalists attributed Pelosi’s quote to Gohmert.
“Holy s-—. Is [Gohmert] encouraging MORE ‘uprisings’??!? Did I hear that right??????????” CNN analyst Asha Rangappa exclaimed.
“You did. His testimony should be used to immediately expel him,” Law & Crime columnist Elura Nanos replied.
“Louie Gohmert on the House floor: ‘I just don’t even know why there aren’t more — aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be,’” Vox politics editor Laura McGann tweeted before later acknowledging it was a “callback” to Pelosi.
Washington Post’s Aaron Blake and Politico’s Blake Hounshell similarly tweeted the quote and attributed it to Gohmert. Both later deleted their tweets and acknowledged their errors.
Media Are Accusing A Republican Lawmaker Of Insurrection For Quoting Nancy Pelosi

Corporate media journalists and left-wing activists took to social media on Wednesday to spread claims that Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas is in favor of inciting insurrection.
“Here’s a quote. ‘I just don’t even know why there aren’t more uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be,’” Gohmert said on the House floor during the impeachment debate.
While Gohmert specified that what he was saying was a quote, taken directly from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s previous statements encouraging uprisings, journalists and activists quickly twisted his words, publicly speculating and claiming he was calling for increased political violence around the nation.
“Louis Gohmert: ‘I don’t know why they aren’t more uprisings all over the country,’” Blake News, a Politico editor tweeted.

“Louie Gohmert calls for more violent uprisings claims Nancy Pelosi is destroying the American experiment and quotes the History Channel in about two minutes,” tweeted Sarah Reese Jones, a managing editor and columnist at PoliticusUSA.
“‘I don’t know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be,’ Louie Gohmert says, perhaps hopefully,” one reporter wrote.
“Holy shit. Is Gohmer encouraging MORE “uprisings”??!? Did I hear that right??????????” CNN analyst Asha Rangappa wrote.
“Louie Gohmert literally asked for Trump supporters to commit violence on live TV prior to the insurrection. Why is he even there???” a KTVU Fox reporter asked on Twitter.
“Gohmert is the id of the GOP caucus. He just said on the House floor: ‘Here’s a quote for ya, why aren’t there more uprisings all over the country?’” a progressive activist wrote.
Some journalists even insulted Gohmert’s intelligence, calling him dumb and incompetent.
During the rest of his speaking time, Gohmert also quoted Pelosi in August claiming that “the domestic enemies of our voting system and honoring our Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with their allies in Congress of the United States.” He also condemned the Democrats’ hypocrisy on violent speech and their political attempt to remove President Donald Trump from office just a week before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
“Now the message is, if you have a whim, and you want to just go after a president, just go straight to the floor. No investigation. No Judiciary Committee. Go straight to the floor. Use it as a political weapon as you wish. This is so dangerous,” he said.
Establishment journalists attribute crazy Pelosi quote about ‘uprisings’ to Republican Louie Gohmert
Multiple left-wing journalists in establishment media suggested that Republican Rep. Louis Gohmert called for more uprisings across America following the Capitol Hill riot—when the quote was originally uttered by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in 2018 and referred to left-wing “uprisings.”

Hounshell’s colleague Eugene Daniels followed suit with his since-deleted tweet, emphasizing that Gohmert’s remark came “just days after a violent and deadly insurrection at the US Capitol.”
“Thanks to all who have pointed out Gohmert was quoting Pelosi! Missed that,” Daniels later admitted.
Vox.com’s politics editor Laura McGann piled on, pointing to Gohmert’s statement on the House floor: “I just don’t even know why there aren’t more—aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be.”
McGann then corrected herself on Twitter. “I guess this was a callback to something Pelosi said this summer and Rs didn’t move to impeach. They knew she wasn’t inciting violence. Why do Ds think Trump was saying the same?” she asked.
CNN analyst Asha Rangappa frantically wrote: “Holy shit. Is Gohmer encouraging MORE ‘uprisings’??!? Did I hear that right??????????”
To which, The Daily Beast’s editor-at-large Molly Jong-Fast answered, “Yes.”

“That’s a quote from our Speaker,” Gohmert had even specified as the House of Representatives debate the matter of impeachment against President Donald Trump one week after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building. “Now, on our side, we didn’t take those quotes to be impeachable because we thought maybe she didn’t mean it. But by the Democrats taking this action, they’re saying, ‘No, we really mean to incite violence.’ That’s what you’re saying.”
On June 14, 2018, Pelosi stated these very words that Gohmert quoted in order to point out the left’s hypocrisy.
“I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. And maybe there will be, when people realize that this is a policy that they defend,” the minority leader lamented at the time.
Two years ago, Pelosi was urging the nation to protest the “barbaric” policy of separating migrant children from their parents after they illegally enter the country to seek asylum.
“This is how fake news works. They’re all partisans waiting to attack Republicans which makes them incapable of an objective thought process before they jump to get outrage clicks,” commented videographer Robby Starbuck. “Rep. Gohmert was quoting Nancy Pelosi when she tried to whip up rage in 2018.”
Starbuck concluded: “Fake news propagandists probably don’t remember though since they rarely cover calls to violence Dems make.”
Rep. Louie Gohmert Calls For More Violent Uprisings On The House Floor

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) tried to use a quote from Nancy Pelosi to call for more violence on the House floor.
Gohmert said on the House floor:
Here’s a quote. Why aren’t more uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be. Or sadly, the domestic enemies of our voting system and honoring our constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue with their allies in Congress of the United States. We were called enemies of the state. Those are all quotes from our speaker. On our side, we didn’t take those to be impeachable because we didn’t believe she surely meant that. But by the Democrats taking this action, you’re telling me when we say those, we actually mean to incite violence. That’s what this action is saying. Look, I just looked on the History Channel. It says these words if the Judiciary Committee, talking about impeachment, finds sufficient grounds, its members write and pass articles of impeachment which then go to the floor of the House for a vote.
Half of all the impeachments ever conducted, ever voted for occurred under this speaker. You’re setting a precedent that says very clearly, because this impeachment isn’t gonna work, but it is setting the precedent, unlike a year ago when we said, it shouldn’t go through Intel, it should go through Judiciary Committee. Forget that. Now the message is, if you have a whim and you want to just go after a president, just go straight to the floor. No investigation. No Judiciary Committee. Go straight to the floor. Use it as a political weapon, as you wish. This is so dangerous what you’re doing. Forgetting all the precedents. Yes, we can argue back and forth, but you’re using this as a weapon and you’re destroying this little experiment in self-government in a year’s time.
It was one week ago that insurrectionists stormed the Capitol and tried to overthrow the government. Louie Gohmert has learned nothing. He is trying to hide his calls for violence behind what he calls quotes from others, but the message is the same to those extremists who are watching. Come to the Capitol, go to your state capital, and prepare for combat against democracy.
Gohmert considers attempting a coup free speech, and he is inviting more violence to occur at the Capitol.
