I'm partial to the John Lee version, over George Thorogood:

One Bourbon, One Scotch One Beer - John Lee Hooker

He said "Whatchoo want this time?
I said "Look man, a-what time is it?"
He said "The clock on the wall say quarter to two
Last call for alcohol, so what you need?"
One Bourbon, One Scotch One beer

An earlier version of that song:

Further On Up the Road--Bobby "Blue" Bland (1957)

In posting this song earlier, I saw this version, but decided on the John Lee Hooker version, which I am much more familiar. I had never heard of this guy, but the song is good as is the story and relationship with Johnny Otis ( I read his wikipedia write up):

One bourbon, one Scotch, One Beer - Amos Milburn

Bobby Blue Bland was awesome. Thank you.

My college roommate worked at A&M records in LA (sound tech) in the late '70's on some recordings with him. Said he was both a gentlemen and great to work with.

Love his voice.

“Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road” by Loudon Wainwright III

I actually owned that LP.

He went on the wrong side of social justice when his son Rufus Wainwright the singer said "My father just could not accept my gayness and rejected me." Ain't it awful? One of Rufus' acts is to dress up like Judy Garland and sing her Carnegie Hall album on stage in drag. Yipes.
