The vast majority of Trump supporters and Republicans in battleground states are less likely to vote for a member of Congress who votes in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump, a January 12 memo from the pollster John McLaughlin of McLaughlin & Associates found.
The memo, addressed to Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller, provided a slate of findings based on the opinions of 800 voters in battleground states taken January 10-11. States include Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
According to the survey, 60 percent of battleground voters view the Democrats’ second impeachment effort as a waste of time. Moreover, 80 percent of Trump voters and 76 percent of Republicans indicated that they are less likely to vote for a member of Congress who votes in favor of impeaching Trump — a finding that comes as the House gathers Wednesday to vote on impeaching him yet again, accusing him of inciting the violence that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. More broadly, among all voters surveyed, 48 percent say they are “less likely” to vote for a member of Congress who votes to impeach Trump.

Primary the hell out of them
Everyone wants to make a statement. Now’s the time. Mitch should bring it up too! won’t happen.
Correction:
The vast majority of Trump supporters and Republicans in battleground states are less likely to vote for ANY Republican Rino who betrayed President Donald Trump, and the American people And the Nation
It’s funny. Primaries never meant much. That was then. How about another Contract? Fix the voting systems first.
That’s what I am telling my congressman and Senators. My wife says I cannot tell them it would be dangerous for them to come again if they vote for impeachment. I phrased it more elegantly.
Liz Cheney (who I used to like) needs to be voted off the island.
GOP - RIP
Even if they chicken out on impeachment, they colluded with the Democrats on the Big Steal and cheated Trump out of office.
Less likely? IT AIN’T HAPPENING. I’ll vote for Bill Belichek before anyone who votes for impeachment today.
Zero percent at my home.
I keep trying to remind folks that the real GOP is not the party elite or the RINOS, and 2016, 2018, and 2020 elections for down ticket races has shown that. Trump’s candidates for the most part won nearly all their contested races, even with great $$$ odds against them and there was no “blue wave” across the country.
Why is Pelosi doing “impeachment” and why the false “incitement” claim against Trump? Is he the real target?
No. The real target is the 75 million who voted for Trump, to “discredit” them, to damage ANY “GOP” label.
The RINOS are going along with it because that is what they have cowardly always done.
The “tea party” will rise anew in 2022, as the official U.S. party of The Resistance, and we will make hell in Congress in November 2022.
The other 20% of Trump voters have sworn off Republican incumbents, regardless of the impeachment vote.
20% of the people who voted for DJT have gone to the communist dark side...
Who needs the stinking wobblers...
That includes every single one of the elected Republican officials everywhere who support impeachment, 25th Amendment, or censure...
Every traitor belongs on the no-vote list...
Good; this was a most unforgivable act.
It’s funny. Primaries never meant much. That was then. How about another Contract?
(Fix the voting systems first.)
Anything less would indicate time to totally flush the repubs down the toilet, lets remind ourself’s how many legislatures are controlled by repubs. Remember it’s the only way we have a chance in hell of getting Trump back in the White House.
less likely? How about no way in hell.
Yep. I can wait to vote against every Republican incumbent in the primaries.
It makes no difference. By the midterms they will have settled another 10+ million Central Americans here, likely in purple and weak red states. Add that to their Magic Switcheroo Voting Machines, your “sacred vote” is merely a figment of your imagination.
Mitch the gobbler is sparing the rinos by not allowing a vote. Toomey should still be run out PA.
