A handful of Big Tech companies moved to take down social media platform Parler over the weekend, but it appears to have found a new company to help try to keep its website running.
On Monday, Parler registered its domain and server to be hosted by Epik, an internet webhosting company known for working with right-leaning websites. Gab, another social media platform popular with conservatives, also uses Epik. A web domain search shows that Parler is now registered with Epik.
No need to get nasty.
Reality is never nice.
Enjoy your day.
Giving up is never nice. Go away.
I think that Epik owns Gab. Gab is adding more individual servers as fast as they can, but needs to add whole server farms instead.
Since the creation of server farms from scratch takes many months, if not years, to get working and quash bugs and bad code, don’t expect things to change anytime soon.

Yea but remember what happened to Mr Universe.
Now is not the time to be trying to re-invent a web service.
I did NOT say that! Nor would I.
Merely pointing out the reality of “rolling your own” systems. I spent a career spinning up systems.
It's just growing pains. Once they scale up a bit, it'll be fine again. They weren't expecting growth of the magnitude they have seen over the past few days. Many people will probably abandon it because of the current slowness. Once the spike passes things will get better quickly. Hopefully folks will come back after a while.

I have been watching the moves of the Mad Genius for a while.
Last year I thought the guy was just a total CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs madman. Now I beginning to think he has been playing a Long game that very few of us even have the capability of understanding.
Or he may just be completely insane....
Bump for sharing later.
I’m not the one trying to throw someone from the same team off the battlefield.
You’ll end up alone in the foxhole if you continue to throw people out of the fox hole.
Never once did I say I agreed with backbone providers cutting sites off.
I just said it will happen. The left is relentless and that it will be their next move.
The response time depends on how many sites are serviced per server. There is also the site’s efficiency in the coding and use of backend resources. Some providers have multiple clients per server. Some servers are dedicated to one client. Some clients have multiple servers. One client that has slow response time is not indicative of another’s.
It’s been represented by Dems in congress for decades. But it’s true that a lot of the executive leadership was Republican until the 1990s.
