Why?
Because they are commies and like suppressing the speech of Americans they do not agree with.

Because people are weak. Ask conservatives who keep tuning into the NFL. If it’s there, they’ll continue to visit it.

Makes no sense. You either click on something or you don’t.
Take the Apps off your Phone and move on.

That may be the answer.

So they're using censorship to disagree with censorship? Um....I think it has more of an impact when it's the "marketplace" that picks winners and losers. I don't approve of any company making political statements of any kind.

Lack of competition in the marketplace is a problem And how did we ever survive before FB and Twitter?! ;-)
Actually, the marketplace is trying to correct that, belatedly and with difficulty but trying nevertheless.

Forgot to add that the marketplace does work. People are dumping FB and Twitter.
I told a friend today about FR. He's currently in FB "jail".

The ISP should go one step farther and redirect DNS for FaceBook and Twitter to other more “acceptable” sites. It’s totally possible, and I can neither confirm nor deny that I’ve participated in that same tactic in the past. :-)

What do you not comprehend? If the capability exists for an ISP to individually block specific websites, then it can be used to block websites that aren’t ‘requested by the customer’.
It doesn’t matter that some of their customers want this. The fact remains, that ISPs can actually block websites going through their lines of communication. That is dangerous, and will be used against us once when Parlor and Gab and every site the left hates finds workarounds from Apple and Amazon denying access.

Why do these people need help blocking themselves from those apps?
Presumably to keep their kids or other family members from using the apps on their home network.
