Stealing an Election is not Incitement, telling People how the Election was stolen is.

Got it.

"repeatedly issu[ing] false statements" about the presidential election

In a real court the discovery process would be a sight to behold!

I am not sure if at this point I want the Dems to overplay their hand and do it. I don’t trust the Republicans in the Senate as far as I could kick them.

It is almost like the Dems want a real insurrection. Reap the whirlwind.

The term “false statements” about the election means they suppressed the evidence, got every news outlet to say “but you need proof, you need evidence, not just talk and accusations about rumors” and the SCOTUS to not allow discussion in a court presentation of charges from the states. So they call what they disagree with “false” or like the tech media CEOS call disagreement “hate speech” to be deleted and banned.

When Gore complained we didn’t call him a terrorist leader for disagreeing with the Florida outcome. Just disagreed.

In 3rd world countries, after the Junta conducts a coup, they take-over the state-run radio and TV stations to broadcast their propoganda. They demonize the former ruler and harass his political allies and supporters. If he’s not killed, they try to isolate and humiliate him. They then organize the organs of government to suppress dissent.

Read it and from my amateur standpoint it is pure trash. But of course the “rule of Law” no longer prevails in the US, it is the “rule of power” so anything goes.

“The resolution charges Trump with “inciting violence against the government of the United States” first by “repeatedly issu[ing] false statements” “

Those this mean the Democrats will have to prove the statements are false.

Will we see the election on trial during the impeachment?

The resolution charges Trump with "inciting violence against the government of the United States" first by "repeatedly issu[ing] false statements" about the presidential election as well as by speaking to the mob before it breached the Capitol.

1) Stacy Abrams still says she won that election a long, long time ago. Are her false statements actionable?

2) The President of the United States spoke to a crowd. Should he not have done that? Was that wrong? Because I gotta tell ya, I've seen a lot of presidents, and that sort of thing goes on all the time.

The entire article of impeachment is for saying:

"...if you donâ½½t fight like hell you're not going to have a country anymore..."

He was referring to his own fight in that part of the speech. He noted that most people would simply give up instead.

Congress shat its pants when the patriots arrived. Can’t deny Trump told them to show up in the neighborhood after he got them riled up. Yes, he said no violence, but to avoid a fight you don’t send a man down to his ex-girlfriend’s house where she’s getting busy with his best friend with the windows open and tell him to behave. Rather, you buy him a drink, tell him to forget about her, and make sure he gets home.

So historically, yes, this is exactly when a legislature will decapitate an executive. To protect its privileges and teach future executives a lesson.

But this resolution is hogwash, and anyone who votes for its language is a liar. Which brings us back to the pants. You can get stains out of trousers, but you can’t bring burned pants back to life.

I think part of this is simply that they want Trump to go down as the only president who was impeached twice.
