I’m glad I left too! My little rural ELCA church in Maryland seemed OK until I went to a Synod assembly, which had nothing to do with sharing the Word and was exclusively dedicated to liberal Democrat politics. I left that church and began searching, thankfully finding an LCMS church that was faithful to God, not leftist politics.

I always make the distinction. I grew up around St. Louis and know Concordia and KFUO. My first serious girlfriend was LCMS. A church with integrity.
