Big Tech Under More Fire For Removing President Trump’s Accounts

OAN Newsroom UPDATED 7:04 PM PT – Sunday, January 10, 2021 Supporters and non-supporters of President Trump are speaking out against Big Tech’s far-reaching ability to censor people.

“Facebook, Twitter, they all took down the President’s accounts,” Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow said. “They took down Sydney Powell’s. They took down General Flynn’s, all my friends are out there. So many that are in the media, they took down theirs. They took them all. We had all social platforms so they’re not going to be able to get these messages out there, and it’s their livelihood. This is the danger we’re in right now.”

A lawyer for the ACLU condemned social media companies, namely Facebook and Twitter, for the move, saying it’s concerning that these companies wield the unchecked power to remove people from their platforms that have become indispensable for the speech of billions.

In a series of tweets, Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny called Twitter’s decision “unacceptable.” He believes officials based the decision off of emotion and political preference.

“Parler is now being attacked by leftest bots so they have turn new sign ups off”

Which is understandable, plus a huge amount of folks jumping on board to follow Pres. Trump is probably tough to maintain. Unfortunately that makes it had to see just how many are legit sign ups migrating from twitter there to support Trump.

And guess who isn’t losing any sleep over it. Big tech execs. Totally protected now.

Eh. Overt, major-impact actions like this really put as big target on your back for when the fight starts getting hot. Companies that donate a bunch of $$ to Planned "Parenthood"? Whatever. Companies that kicked all conservatives off their services? Gonna be top of the list, right under all the RINOs.

Good quip. Similar to “in Russia ...” quips.

Fact is, both the media and the state are controlled by unelected and unaccountable powers. Some in government, some not in government. Only the shadow knows ....

The courts ARE the left, or a powerful wing of it at any rate.

Does anyone know how the President plans on responding to Twitter banning him?

Can’t he simply start using another site - like Parler - and bring his huge following over with him?

I hope he does something like that..

I, for one, don’t give a crap about Twitter - I just want to know what the President is saying.

Gab is a likely stop for him, I’ve read, but Gab is having to take extraordinary measures to be able to handle the volume that would bring. It may take time.

Are you sure they didn’t? I’m on AT&T and I was getting multiple fundraising texts from Trump and multiple other Pubs. They suddenly stopped altogether.

It simply take too much time. I suspect many of them are off the radar. Something will probably happen before they get through with it. They could be partially successful.

The easiest way is that he builds on existing social media friendly to him such as Parler or Gab. He doesn't have to start from scratch. He could let them merge together or form some kind of alliance. That will benefit them because it will provide a single platform which has lock on all conservative users. That would create a large group of users than the sum of users when they are operating separately.
