Big Tech seems anxious to cut off or hinder communications right now and in the run-up to Usurpation Day, January 20. That’s, uh, interesting.
Who’d even know? It would be blacked out and the fact checkers would says it was a conspiracy theory.
Well my concern is this I own a hosting company. I was considering firing up servers at AWS. But what I’m wondering is where does this stop. We saw the problem with the Covid drugs. So what if they decide they don’t like homeopathic medicine because it’s quackery and their opinion. What if they decide to take down CBD oil sites. What if they decide the insurance sites should not be up because insurance can’t be sold across state lines. The list of problems here is endless and now Pandoras box has been opened. I am very surprised honestly the AWS decided to go down this slippery slope because they have a different dog in the hunt per se than Twitter. Twitter has content Google has content but darkening things based on your political ambitions or positions means we now have problems within hosting companies. So where does the stop that’s the question I have where does it stop
Ironically, as of this writing, Parler is still up, but Gab is down...
They are shutting down free speech. You don't think FreeRepublic is on their chopping block?

What was Trump to do? He tried to get that 240 bill (or whatever it is) cancelled. DC was NOT on board. They want to shut down free speech and that would include Free Republic.
Amazon holds contracts with 17+ intelligence agencies and have servers in AWS that are isolated and not part of standard business “AWS Availability Zones”, so traffic cannot be compromised. These contracts run out of Seattle are worth ‘Billions’ of dollars, as the following article confirms what I know personally. There is no way Amazon will allow the US Government contract to be compromised over Parler.
Now Amazon, Facebook and Twitter have decided to edit their content, they have become a Publisher and MUST adhere to ALL rules. Therefore, ANY content found on their servers should also be available for legal discovery and can be forced to remove content, including PORN, Terrorist or threats against the State (just a few examples).
I’ve been here since Clinton was the president. They have tried and tried and tried and Jim has done a great job in setting up a system that they couldn’t come after that way. Now he may have changed things through the years and I don’t know. But in the end I think after 20 year If there was a way to take this down it would’ve already happened because it’s been tried

Realized 10 months later they had been charging me 10 bucks a month, from my credit card, which I never authorized
So my “free shipping” cost me about 100 bucks for a $20 purchase.
Told my CC company, and they reversed all the charges
Never did use the prime streaming thing, I don’t stream stuff it’s too expensive.
