Trump called for a peaceful protest before the event and then the WH spokesman denounced what happened after the event.
How about this rhetoric from the WH itself?

At the “Stop the Steal” rally when all this rioting occurred, in his speech Trump says:
“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
Please someone explain to me how those words incited a riotous mob?? I don’t understand.

They all are and there is good reason for them to be scared.
They just knowingly certified Joe Biden President in an election procured via fraud.
They though they could ram this down the throats of a public they assumed was too demoralized and apathetic to care or resist. The counted on a couple of days of grumbling and then people would forget and go back to their lives as they have in the past.
They miscalculated and public sentiment is going the exact opposite direction they expected and the Democrats are inflaming the situation with talk of 25th Amendments, impeachment and declaring MAGA supporters domestic terrorists so they can be controlled, spyed upon and prosecuted under anti terrorism laws.
Democrats allies in social media are going full on Mao and rushing towards a Orwellian (literally) system of information control and purging people they consider enemies of their state in a start to their version of a Maoist Cultural Revolution and they are working with Democrats to mobilize their American neo Red Guards to implement the revolution against the American people
Most troubling of all is the evidence that Democrats, Tech Tyrants and some Republicans are pushing their agenda in collusion with and with the covert support of the Chinese Communist Party
These same Democrats and Tech Tyrants are also viciously moving against disfavored Republican politicians in Congress and Biden has not even assumed office yet. Congressional Republicans are caught between a new generation of hard core, Maoist radical Democrats who hate them with a passion and are eager to to go full Che and take action against them and their Republican base that they despise and have betrayed.
For their part, the Republican base is waking up and realizing just how badly they are despised by the politicians they support and how badly they have been screwed and betrayed by the elected officials that they themselves elected and sent to Washington. The anger of the newly woke normal American rubes is reaching a boiling point
Guys like McClintock are desperately trying to put the genie let out back into the bottle but the genie is not cooperating and is getting pissed off.
Hint to Republican politicians - confirming a criminally corrupt and mentally incompetent Joe Biden as President in an election he procured via fraud was not the "for the good of the country" move you are trying to make it out to be and Joe is being anything but conciliatory
