A lot of freepers were cheering the “storming of the capitol”. when I posted that this episode would play into the hands of the left by making MAGA look terrible, I was flamed as “weak”, too concerned with the movement’s “reputation” - as if that’s not an important thing. Churchill said that a good reputation is one of a man’s most cherished and valuable achievements, not to be squandered. One freeper poster said I’d make a good battered wife.
I hope the freepers who thought this “storming of the capitol” was a good idea - and who flamed me for suggesting otherwise - have had time and opportunity to reconsider. A woman is dead, and the MAGA movement is greivously damaged - and the Left has major propaganda victory that they’re using to try to oust Trump. They have a number of GOP fellow-travelers already on their train.
Today was a BAD DAY for the MAGA movement - and the wound was self inflicted by stupid people who invaded the capitol.
