Lawyer who advised President Trump on Saturday call resigns from law firm

Cleta Mitchell, the conservative lawyer that can be heard interjecting in the now infamous call between President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, resigned from her role as partner at the Washington office of law firm Foley & Lardner on Tuesday, the Washington Post reports.

Mitchell, who advised Trump during his Saturday phone call with Raffensperger in an effort to overturn the presidential election, could be heard multiple times during the call helping the president as he made baseless claims regarding the election and demanding that the secretary of state release election data.

“So what are we going to do here, folks?” Trump asked Raffensperger and his aides during an hour-long telephone conversation on Saturday. “I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break.”

The 70-year-old litigator’s resignation came after her law firm on Monday issued a statement saying it was “concerned by” her participation in the call, according to the Washington Post. The firm noted that as a matter of policy, its attorneys do not represent “any parties seeking to contest the results of the election.”

Cleta Mitchell is a great American patriot, and like the Founding fathers who formed regiments, she may die fighting and never see the fruits of her sacrifice to water the liberty Tree.

We should repeat their “baseless claim” response every time the left spews their material. No need to spend time countering them point by point, just do like they do and automatically call everything they say extremist, stupid, baseless, disputed, conspiratorial, unproven, etc., so you don’t have to waste time educating them. The fix is in. President Trump can have a line of sworn witnesses from here to the sun and it would not matter. They can have a display of evidence either stacked up or lined up from here to the other side of the Milky Way to no avail. The witnesses they refuse to hear and the evidence they refuse to look at. The Left [Communists, Democrats] control the Courts. The Courts are completely and thoroughly corrupt. Fight and defend the Constitution. We refuse to do that. The other side got word to the politicians that if they were not allowed to steal the election, they would fight and the politicians believed them. Actually they said that their side would riot. In reality our judas goats put out the word fast that fighting for what we believed in was beneath our dignity. As was declaring Martial law. Accepting the results of the stolen election was not beneath their dignity, however. Nor is standing stoically waiting the bullet to the back of the head when the masters say that the time has come.

What will happen later on today has already been decided. There will be no surprises. There may or may not have a sham discussion. I just wished we had fought. I would have felt better.
