Yep. The $2000 check thing was Mitch thumbing his nose at Trump. Yet some here still think Mitch is a great guy.
The $600 was negotiated by Mnuchin and Pelosi, but somehow Trump decides after watching TV that $2,000 was a better idea. If anything doomed this vote, it was Trump torpedoing the bill his team helped negotiate.
That was like a fumbling inches before crossing the goal line, negating everything gained previously.
