> However, Trump putting down Gold Star parents, calling McCain a coward, and saying negative things about common military people must have some military voters pixxed.
When did he put down Gold Star parents or say negative things about common military people? Do you have links to him doing that?
And why would they care about Trump’s opinions on McCain, who deliberately threw the election to Obama and wanted to ship them off to die for nothing in foreign hellholes?
he went after a supposed “gold star” father who was a democrat activist speaking at the democrat convention...dancing on his sons grave for political purposes....
Here is a controversy I had not been aware of: https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-frederica-wilson-gold-star-la-david-johnson-2017-10
On the other hand I was aware of this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khizr_and_Ghazala_Khan
Just as I was only aware of one of these controversies, voters often have only heard one or two significant comments by a candidate. President Trump has said so many different things that it is possible for a lot of different things to be picked up and used or misused by the media. Regarding McCain, I specifically remember President Trump saying he did not consider McCain a hero, he liked people who did not get caught. Since at that time my son was, and still is, serving with Special Forces, all I could think of is how I would feel if my son was injured and captured and held under terrible conditions for 5 year, and then had to hear that comment.
