Maybe not listed, but I absolutely know it was the main cause of the death of my mother-in-law this past Spring.
She did not understand why the family was not visiting her. We called often & explained the restrictions to her, but she was not grasping it.
We did not see her at all for the last 6 weeks of her life. (But they told us we could come look at her dead body if we wanted ... cruel!)
Before the lock-downs, we made sure she was eating, keeping clean, getting some exercise and engaging in activities. Without us there, she just stopped eating and eventually stayed in bed all the time, not really interacting. She lost all dignity, which was extremely important to her. The aides we paid for tried to help, but she just gave up on life.
Sad.
I am getting to that point. A recent doctor visit showed an unexplained 25 pound weight loss in a short period of time. .
Families need to spend more time. Old age is just so cruel. Old people are shut away so that we feel like we are unwanted. Hard to get people to strike up a conversation .... so it’s easier to just lie there and die.
I need a bit of life around me!!!

That is true. Even animals know that they need to be part of someone else’s life.
And God knew that it is not good for man to be alone, which is why he created a couple and the families of man. We are made to be with each other and we literally do waste away if we are deprived of human life around us.
I hope this cruelty ends soon and that our 2021 will see us restored to life. God be with us.
