Unfortunately, Mike Pence is part of the coup. Keep praying for the MOAB. We want to believe that he'll do the right thing, but every indicator tells us he won't.

THE NSF HAS WAYS.

THEY CAN BLACKMAIL PEOPLE DIRECTLY OR THROUGH THEIR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES AND USE OBAMA’S FBI AS ENFORCERS

Every time I see someone post that yet another of Trump’s team is “disloyal” I think of The Caine Mutiny.

Can they ALL be disloyal?

Pence was part of the first coup attempt when he and Trump’s cabinet met to discuss the 25th amendment, although he and Rosenstein denied it. I wouldn’t trust Pence as far as I could throw him.

Pence was part of the Boehner, Ryan, Cantor House leadership.

Only Bush League Republicans get leadership positions.

It really is time for President Trump to release whatever evidence he has to the public.

FROM THE AMERICAN THINKER:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/12/gop_congressional_challenges_to_electors_would_be_a_catastrophic_tactical_mistake.html

If Mike Pence wants to do the right thing, he needs only to interpret “votes” as votes from states NOT IN DISPUTE, and count them accordingly.

He could declare, “I will not count the Biden electors, or the competing slates of Trump electors, in disputed states where there is overwhelming credible evidence of systemic fraud.” Thus would he restore the election win to President Trump, from whom it was audaciously stolen.

What would Pence have to lose? A commenter at Legal Insurrection observed:

“Pence should refuse to count votes from the contested states, and dare someone to sue him in court. Then the SCOTUS can simply docket that for January 21, 2021.

If the SCOTUS can’t stop states from stealing elections, they damn well don’t have the power to stop Pence from counting the votes any way he wants to.”

One caveat: This has been a season in which everyone seems to be letting us down. Why expect Pence to be any different? The Washington Post reported, “Pence is hoping for a low-key Jan. 6 and is not planning any unnecessary drama, aides said, intending to stick to his perfunctory role. He is eyeing a trip overseas soon after.”

But the Post report might be inaccurate, or this could be Trump disinformation intended to cause the opposition to let down their guard.

As for the mention of no “unnecessary drama” in Pence’s plans, that doesn’t rule out necessary drama. The Democratic election theft was bold and shocking. It calls for a bold, shocking correction.

Drama is unavoidable, with the nation so bitterly divided. Half of the country, including 30 percent of Democrats, believe the election was stolen. Media gaslighting has convinced the other half, including Sen. McConnell and some other leading Republicans, that Biden was really elected.

The vice president faces a “difficult” decision that’s not really difficult: Will he decline to certify slates of electors produced by what the whole world knows was systemic cheating? Will he refuse to legitimize a treasonous coup, and thus single-handedly save the republic and change the course of history.

The lawsuit is to get the courts to question the Constitutionality of an 1800s law regarding the Vice President’s role with regard to the Electoral College, and it is that law that Pence’s lawyers are going by in terms of their advice to Pence. The Constitutionality of that law has not previously been questioned, though surely it should have been. It is better for the administration that Gohmert file that suit. However, there is no guarantee that even the present SCOTUS will agree with Gohmert’s argument.

Pence is the odds-on favorite to be the 2024 GOP nominee no matter how things turn out. He probably isn't thinking any further than preserving his own viability and not taking unnecessary risks.

Characterizing him as "part of the coup" seems excessive - he is being presented with an opportunity to do his job in the normal way vs. doing something radical that would earn him worldwide condemnation. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy willing to take such a risk.

If Trump has a secret big stick to bring out after 1/6, nobody will remember or care that Pence counted the electoral votes in the traditional way. If Trump does not have such a stick and leaves office on 1/20, Pence will be praised for his "faithfulness to the Constitution".

If Pence is disloyal, the President certainly knows, and is planning accordingly.

...

I hear ya and I’d ask, if PDJT “declassifies” the documents, I heard it has to be another person to “releases them”...i.e., the president can’t release the docs, only declassify.

Are any legal eagles present who can clarify? No $hit posts, please, we are in enough trouble already...I’m kinda tired of ostriches who are also smart alecs.

Doesn’t matter - will not change a thing as far as DJT getting 2nd term. Filed under: Nice to Know.

Without indisputable evidence, Pence shouldn’t do what is suggested. I love Trump, hate rhinos, and I’m in GA holding my nose and voting for the R senate candidates.

But without overwhelming indisputable evidence, having a VP do this is a terrible precedent. It sets the stage that even the electors votes are meaningless.

The state legislators are the ones that could have and should have intervened in each state to name electors. The idea that the sitting VP will override the electors provided by the states, in order to maintain power is terrifying long term.

Pence is largely a figurehead in the electoral vote count. The state governments and state and federal courts have not challenged these certifications for Biden and so Pence cannot substitute his judgement or personal interest for theirs.

The acid test for voting for anyone in the future should be did they support Trump and did the spend every waking moment fighting the election fraud that occurred. The latter simply means that every single action they took and every single word they uttered was about election fraud. I understand some are constitutionally powerless, but they do have the ability to speak. Use this test with Pence and everyone else who seeks office in the future.

"We need to remember that our Lord works in mysterious ways… at least to us.
From His perspective, it all makes sense."

Sadly, none of this makes sense to me except as Democrat massive voter fraud, which apparently they will get away with.
Nobody with authority seems to have the courage and those with plenty of courage have no authority to stop it.

So what could possibly be the "up side" to a Biden presidency?
I can think of several, but all involve huge suffering for Americans, then potential Trump reelection in 2024...

Mysterious ways!

Worth repeating. Also in Georgia, baffled by the situation we find ourselves in. I didn’t leave CA less than 10 years to move to yet another Democratic cesspool state. SMH
