Both sides are holding relief on which they agree hostage to provisions on which they disagree. Hard to tell who is going to come out ahead politically. Probably the side that can best explain its case.
Probably the side that offers the biggest payments.
I say President Trump should take the amount of the entire omnibus spending bill and divide it by the number of recipients ... and insist on THAT amount in direct payments to U.S. taxpayers.
It probably comes to about $5,000 or so, not $1,200 or $2,000.
