A judge from Fulton County which includes Atlanta has dismissed a lawsuit by the Republican Party seeking to limit the use of voter drop boxes for Georgia’s two U.S. Senate runoff races saying the state has immunity from being sued, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday. Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams ruled she doesn’t have jurisdiction because of sovereign immunity that protects governments from lawsuits, the Journal-Constitution said. Republicans had argued that drop boxes should be limited to the same hours as county election offices, which typically close at 5 p.m. on weekdays. But an attorney for the Georgia secretary of state’s office said the state election board approved the boxes to be used at all hours.
Famed attorney Lin Wood sued the Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in November claiming that he unlawfully changed election law in March to settle a lawsuit by Georgia Democrats, something he said the state constitution expressly grants to the legislature. Incumbent Republicans Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are facing Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in Jan. 5 runoffs after none of the candidates received more than 50% of the vote. While Perdue received only a few thousand votes shy of the 50% threshold, Warnock led Loeffler 33% to 26%. However, Loeffler and fellow Republican Doug Collins, plus four other Republicans in a race with 20 candidates, received a combined 49.3% of the vote compared to about 48.4% for Warnock and the next seven Democrats.

The law authorizing the lock boxes (in violation of state election laws) EXPIRED before the election started, so there is no 'immunity' from illegal actions. And there should be none for this inept judge ... So inept, in fact, that the UNLAWFUL election for allowing non-voters in the Senate election being continued in the runoff to vote in violation of state election law went unmentioned.
That is NOT the sort of thing that ordinarily comes under a sovereign immunity.
Just more pointing to the fact the State Legislatures have to do something. Not the courts.

Constitutionally, they are the arbiters of voting laws....not courts, and not governors and their cabinets.

Agreed. Regardless of the evidence and facts, the courts are compromised and will do nothing and I suspect the state legislatures will do likewise. The only option remaining to patriots is BLM/Antifa style civil disobedience.
No redress.

If the fraud stands, there will no longer be a GA Republican legislature. It is just a matter of time.
I remember when President Trump got elected in 2016; there was a “progressive” radio show in town (it went out of business in just a few months.) Some crying liberal called in to whine but the “wise” progressive host explained that “we” (progressives) had Federal judges in place that would delay and block everything President Trump did.
State legislatures won’t choose against the left for fear of physical harm to themselves and their families. Choose against conservatives, and the only thing they have to fear is a bunch of snide comments.
