If Vitamin D deficiency puts someone at increased risk from WuFlu, then people with more skin pigmentation could very well be at increased risk.

Wonder if she was taking Vitamin D. If so, her weight may have put her at far more risk than her skin pigmentation. Especially if she was a diabetic.

Wonder if darker skins create less vitamin D in body from sun exposure. Dark skin is nature’s way of protecting people from ultra-violet in sunny climates.
