Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said that some Republican senators will join an effort to challenge Electoral College votes when the joint session of Congress meets on Jan. 6.
The process must be initiated by requires one senator and one House representative. In addition to Greene, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) and a number of GOP House lawmakers have pledged to challenge the votes.
“We have a very strong case, and our numbers are growing strong,” she said of the effort on Dec. 22 on Newsmax. “We talked to senators, and we’re good to go for this objection.”
Greene didn’t say which senators would join the challenge. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) have both suggested they might get involved, but there’s been no public confirmation.
If an objection is filed during the joint session for key states that cast Electoral College votes for Joe Biden, each chamber will have to hold a debate for two hours on whether to disqualify a state’s votes. Then a vote will have to be held in each chamber on whether to throw the votes out.
Greene said she spoke with President Donald Trump about possibly challenging the votes, saying: “I didn’t run for Congress to sit by and be quiet, so I called the president.
“I support him, I voted for him, just like everyone else, and I’m happy to support him in this trying time.”

The evidence is absolutely OVERWHELMING that the Democrats stole the election in the Democrat-machine big cities in the five key swing states.
We need you to PLEASE stand up for our country and challenge the Electoral College in support of your House colleagues.
I urge you to ignore McConnell's threat to you to not object during Congress’s count and certification next month. He is a quisling, afraid to stand up for what is right. He said "an objection isn’t in the best interest of everybody." He could not be more wrong. A brave, princpled objection would stand up for the 75 million Americans who have been hideously disenfranchised by the Democrat's dirty and grossly illegal election fraud.
Representive Mo Brooks is showing the courage, leadership and fortitude we desperately need in the House.
Will you be counted among those who stand for Americans in the Senate and act to preserve the Republic? You may personally lose status, lose committee assignments and maybe even lose your Senate career. But what is the point in preserving that career if you helped cause the downfall of our great nation? Is that the ignominy you want on your record?
Yes. Under current rules, Trump won’t have a majority of the house nor the majority of the senate to reject the “certified” electoral votes of the contested states. However Trump should consider changing the rules.
Even if we get a couple to object, they will then need to debate it, then vote, right?
There is Zero chance the feckless republicants have the votes to overturn the cheat. The uniparty will continue on.
How pathetic that out of all the GOP senators, we have only a couple “maybes”, and that’s it!
Mark the ones who lack the courage to stand.
