About six years ago my major American airline flight attendent GF was on a flt CLT to Detroit. Right after takeoff a “foreign appearing” guy goes up and enters the first class BR. Stays a while, comes out and goes straight back and enters the rear lav. Stays a LONG time. Pasg. complain.
She knocks and ask if he is ok several times-no answer.
Contacts the Capt. and gets permission to open the door. She gets three pasg for backup and opens it. The foreign appearing guy is standing straight up and goes off on her saying he is U.S. citizen and he would “kill her”.
OK, they get him in a seat, notify Marshals to meet the plane in Detroitistan where they take him off.
The Marshal that took her statement told her that “they knew of this guy and it was not his first time”
I get POed and call my Rep and ask them to ck and see if he was on the No Fly list due to the prior issues
Reps office called back a week later and said that HS would not tell them.
Threatening the life of Flight Crew is about the highest level of seriousness. I asked if he was going to be on the No Fly list after this- they would not say.
