I did the math recently on the likely field force of armed Americans led by physically able vets. I conservatively come out with over 20,000,000. Trained Vets easily compose about 20% of that force. That’s TEN TIMES the largest police/military force in the world, CHINA, at about 2,000,000.

But what your equation is missing is logistics, capabilities, equipment, CnC, communication, etc, etc. Let's say Harris is able to take charge, and ends up turning the military on the citizenry, AND enough of the military is willing to go along. All unlikely, but here you go.

The military can easily direct an overwhelming force supported by near indefeatable machinery in a very localized target area. ANY kind of direct confrontation will be overwhelmingly won by government forces. There is NO serious counter to drones and aerial assets within the hands of the citizenry. Or tanks/AFVs. Or naval forces.

The populace as a whole has NO isolated communication or network of any sort - no secured communications, meaning there will be little to no ability to coordinate strikes in different cities/States, and also very limited ways to securely communicate between teams on the same mission. There won't be any way to seriously develop a command of any sort bigger than a platoon-equivalent. Government ability to spy on emails, phones, messaging applications, wifi, etc etc mean the only people that will actually be hidden will be the 0.000001% who have an off-grid house in land somewhere with the deed in someone else's name, and maybe somewhat those who can leave their phone at home and conduct ops and NOT talk about it with ANYONE, and require almost no material support to do so (can all be traced via card purchases or security cams). Any recently retired vets are likely high on the government watch list, and anything out of the ordinary will bring a tight spotlight on them. Using Metadata to Find Paul Revere

Personal will. Sure, there's 35-40MM deer permits issued out each year. If you're extremely optimistic, 3% of those are active, we're down to just over a million people, most of whom are out in the rural areas and not able to easily work together, and easily picked off one-by-one. They won't all be fighting together - the red line for one guy is way different than the others. It's not some foreign military invading these US with blue helmets, it's fellow citizens, with different applications of gov power in different areas. Someone oppressed in upstate NY might be pushed to fight much sooner than the many people in TX who have a State that somewhat shields them from the initial blunt of the gov forces. And here's logistics - cross-State support on the civvie side is minimal, difficult, and easily tracked. Whereas for military it's easy to shift large forces around as needed, or even long-range strikes from outside the targeted State.
Not to mention that Conservatives are generally law-upholding, authority-supporting types of people. Sure, they support freedom, but they don't fight "the Man" the same way the lefties do, and I dunno if it'll ever get to the point where enough of us are that personally affected to do so. Conservatives want to be left alone, we're not as likely to band together and start the fight somewhere else.

The only way I see this going successfully is if there's major overreach by the Dems, in many ways and locations, and Conservatives can get over their reluctance to fight, and fight dirty. What I Saw at the Coup is what needs to happen. Open season on every traitor, no matter what business they're in.
