If you're close to retirement, retire. If you're working, change your status to keep as much as possible from being taken and then file for extensions. Cut out everything that's taxed as much as possible. Only buy necessities.

One thing this rotten year was good for was learning how to reduce your economic activity to the absolute minimum. I’m sure there’s more to come yet, but reducing all economic activity to the bare minimum is the order the day for many good reasons.

This is a very important point. I would add this: be very discriminating when it comes to where you spend money. Is your local pet food store run by left-wingers (mine is)? Then don't buy from them. Buy from a conservative or make your own pet food. Etc.

DO pay your taxes. It does no good to break the law, and we don't have to go down that road.
