ripe. The lower court's have been playing games with laches and mootness. If necessary, Texas and others could argue that it wasn't foreseeable that defendats would act as they did, or that it would materially affect the election. Conclussions like laches are used against disfavored litigants. I wouldn't expect that from SCOTUS in this case, at least not from the majority.
Let’s finish this.
This will drive the Criminal Cheeter Deepers nuts.
Brilliant!!
I think that, no matter what, the GOP will have to thread the needle between those Trump attracted to the party and those who have been in the party for a long time.
I truly do not see these legislatures or Congress going against the vote. That would be the ultimate political suicide as a lot of independent would not be happy.
Best line of the thread!
It wasn’t forseeable? Really? Even Trump was flipping out about the changes and suspected it would impact the election.
I am simply amazed at all these defeatist losers who don’t even have a real argument other than self pity.
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do, and very few posters do either. But 17 AGs have an excellent case with sound reasoning and there are powerful reasons for the SC to take this seriously, not the least of these is self interest.
Maybe all that isn’t enough but I see no reason to borrow trouble and fixate on a worst case scenario.

Perfectly stated. This place is filled with failure addicts!
Thank you for posting the link. This is not unexpected but still very interesting.

The Republican Party knows it would be political suicide to do otherwise.
What does the legalese BS mean?
there was a crime committed within their jurisdictions but they just look the other way.
does that not make them accessories to the crime ?
Well said.....indeed if not for cases such as this, just what is the Supreme Court for.
Thanks!!!
Okay. Well. Good luck with it all.
lol.. yeah... i was just joking.
thanks
