Starlink...that’s the deal where the sell a 2000 dollar receiver for 500?

Kind of makes you think of cell phones, no? Free $500 cell phone with your 2 year contract. With Musk so far no contract but you have a sunk cost of 5 bills and there isnt much else you can do with it. Even if you re-sell it whomever buys it can really only use it to sign up for Starlink service.

It is. One way or another, a lot of capital has to be expended to deploy the infrastructure for the system. The end payout is that Starlink will be the only broadband internet AND phone service provider with a potential global client base. As with any startup technology, the problem is financing the red ink until the revenue matures.

might check out the starlink website for the beta, receiver is 400, and service id 99.00/month..
